Planeta is a Sicilian wine company established in 1995. Planeta is not one but six ways of articulating the land in six different contexts. Such is the number of estates that produce their wine; boutique wineries each seeking, through careful research, to celebrate its locality. Ulmo at Sambuca di Sicilia (AG), Dispensa at Menfi (AG), Dorilli at Vittoria (RG), Buonivini at Noto (SR), Sciara Nuova on Etna at Castiglione di Sicilia (CT) and finally La Baronia at Capo Milazzo (ME) are the Planeta locations, a total surface area of vineyard of 364 hectares.

WINE DESCRIPTION: An extremely gastronomic version of Cerasuolo, which we like very much for its meaty, peppery notes. An intriguing wine with extraordinary vital energy based on wild fruits, strawberries, mulberry, and pomegranate. In the mouth, the wine reflects its olfactory impressions, and thus we happily re-encounter the black pepper mixed with carob and sweet cherries. Quick on the palate with a savoury, rounded finish with hints of mulberry.
FOOD PAIRING: In the right season, perfect with a slice of seared tuna, with chopped mushrooms, or with the feathered game, its harmony with pizza is a surprise throughout the year.
