Planeta is a Sicilian wine company established in 1995. Planeta is not one but six ways of articulating the land in six different contexts. Such is the number of estates which produce their wine; boutique wineries each seeking, through careful research, to celebrate its locality. Ulmo at Sambuca di Sicilia (AG), Dispensa at Menfi (AG), Dorilli at Vittoria (RG), Buonivini at Noto (SR), Sciara Nuova on Etna at Castiglione di Sicilia (CT) and finally La Baronia at Capo Milazzo (ME) are the Planeta locations, a total surface area of vineyard of 364 hectares.

WINE DESCRIPTION: An intensely vivid ruby colour. On the nose aromas of redcurrant and mulberry with a slightly spicy and minty finish. In the mouth, the wine demonstrates its fine personality with flavours of ripe wild fruits, balanced by a pleasant full, herbal taste. The tannins are soft and smooth, conferring a very versatile character to this red wine.
FOOD PAIRING: For daily drinking, it is ideal with Mediterranean pasta dishes and light meals of meat, vegetables or oily fish.
