WINE DESCRIPTION: The very first single-vineyard wine produced by the Pio family, first presented with the 1985 vintage. The soil composition (very compact calcareous-clayey marl), the altitude (almost 400 meters), and the warm, dry microclimate, created by the location and exposure, yield a full-bodied and structured Barolo, with intense red fruit aromas and significant tannic persistence, especially when young. A very long-lived wine.
Produced in small quantities every year since 1985.
